Dahlias
Dahlias are the darlings of summer wedding flowers.
Here's what you need to know about these flamboyant beauties.
They are in super high demand for weddings - especially pale pink, white and peach. Early ordering is essential. Some varieties are booked out 6+months in advance.
While beautiful, some of the giant bloom varieties don't produce flowers en masse or in large quantities. Some varieties flower only once every 28 days. They need to be treated as a focal flower, rather than being used throughout the entire wedding.
Dahlias are garden flowers, grown outside at the whim of the weather. As they are not grown in controlled, commercial conditions, we do not offer credits on them, and sell and ship them only at your own risk.
The average shelf life of a cut flower dahlia is 3-5 days (less if not chilled), so you need to make sure that you organise collection/delivery for as close to the date you need them as possible.
Dahlia varieties flower at different times throughout the season, so they can't be ordered by name, only by colour. Our growers will do their best to supply you with blooms as close the the colour and shape that you request, but they can't guarantee this. Some flexibility is required.

The team at Bloom Brokers are wonderful. Being fairly new to the industry, I have looked to Bloom Brokers on more than one occasion for advice and recommendations. Their expert words have never steered me wrong and I know that they will always go out of their way to provide the information we need. The range of flowers is constantly delightful, always tempting me to get a few goodies for myself whenever I go.
